Welcome at the Business Inspection!

The Business Inspection is about how to improve business performance (including bottom line results) and to work smarter (with better processes, and so on).

At the beginning I would like to point to the fact that these articles contain suggestions. There are no warranties given that these suggestions work for your business. You are responsible for the results which may arise from it when applying our suggestion to your business.

Where you start depends on your decision. You could begin where ever you like, even with the last chapter. I recommend to start with Finance first. Usually starting with Finance leads to a good basis for further analysis and discussions.

On most subjects you will find template files available as downloads. On the other hand you could use the on-line applications as well. More importantly for you is, that you start to do something. Don't spend much time and effort at the beginning. Start small. If you need more details you could analyse deeper later on.

Try to standardize as much as possible. You determine the standards for your business yourself. If you use many forms internally, try to adapt them to eachother and reduce their number. Bureaucracy is important, but too much will damage your business.

The business inspection is based on my long independent activity as an accountant, controller and interim manager. There will be additions to the available articles in future.
